Call me if you are interested 720-309-5866. I have a 2004 Hyperion Lightspeed. It is a aluminum carbon-ti and has a shimano 105 drive train. I LOVE this bike, but it does fit quite right it is a 56 mens frame. It is a super nice bike, a couple nicks in the clear coat from my learning curve in clip ins and the previous owner. I am asking $800, it is $2500 new.

New to the Westminster area, and looking for other cyclists who ride in the area. I ride off-road and road. My poor bikes are not getting out, and I need to ride. I'm a bicycle mechanic by profession and cyclist by my genes. I haven't got much riding in this year, so I'm looking for easy rides and then would like to build up to intermediate rides. Would prefer to ride locally so I can learn the area more.

Hi--Just came across Out Spokin today. It's great. My questions: 1. I'm trying to set up to ride my bike pretty much exclusively and go carless. Any opinions on whether a Burley or Yak BOB trailer might be best for carrying groceries and that sort of thing? Anyone selling one of these trailers? 2. I'm trying to find the best route from Westminster to LoDo. I have a great route that goes out to Thornton, and I think MAYBE that bike path hooks up to the Platte River path that goes straight to LoDo. Anyone know for sure? The maps provided on Out Spokin (great maps by the way) cut off EXACTLY at the point where I need the most critical info. No map available fills in that blank spot. Help? 3. Thanks. This is a great community, far as I can tell. I just joined today.

If you ever ride in New Mexico, drop me an email. Also I recently posted a journal about a women's self-contained winter tour in southern AZ at www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/southernaz. Lots of fun and hopefully inspiring in terms of what's possible. You can also check out what I'm getting started with women and touring at www.geocities.com/twowheeltraveler. Anyone up for some camping? mountain biking, hiking, fishing, boating and ATV trails all near by. I recently bought some land in Park County near the Como/Jefferson area in the Indian Mountain Development. The property is "rustic" meaning it has NO hook ups on it, but the development has every thing a camper could want or need. Restrooms/showers/water, play area for the kids and dump station are all available. Plus my camper is fully self contained (with a bathroom). My property is an acre and would be large enough to accommodate group camping. Near by attractions include Kenosha Pass & the Colorado trail with some awesome single track (from what I have heard). Spinney Mountain and Eleven Mile State Parks are also fairly close, they both offer boating and fishing. Eleven Mile has some hiking and mountain biking trails and Como offers some ATV trails.

My partner and I are holding a training camp in Bedoin, France that is designed for the recreationally elite cyclist on a budget. The camp runs from May 6th to the 12th and includes a race on May 13th. Located in Provence at the base of Mt Ventoux, you will have the opportunity to train on the same routes as the pros, do a personal best up Mt Ventoux, and relax with some wine and cheese during each post-training debrief session. At the end of the camp, you have the opportunity to test your new form through participation in a European race. For more information, visit our website at www.spokencoaching.com Thanks! Lisa Thank you so much!! Lisa Dorian Chicks Cycling Club

Hi fellow rainbow cyclists I have decided (at least for now) that I'm going to do the Bicycle Tour of Colorado and could use some riding companions for 30-40 mile rides through early April, then up to 60 mile rides through May then back-to-back 70+ mile rides. I know the Boulder/Golden/Lyons area and all points east and west of there very well if anyone wants to join me on some training rides. I also know the best places for coffee/tea and lunch afterwards (gotta restock those muscles, ya know). Contact me at Andreat@womenonbikes.com Happy almost Spring!!! :)

I am from Minneapolis, MN and I am wanting to ride with Outspokin team riders for the following 2 events: Courage Classic and Bicycle Tour of Colorado. I know Outspokin has the Rainbow Village for the Courage Classic. I wanted to connect with Outspokin riders and prepare for how I could ride with the club for both of these events. I will be relocating to Denver permanently within the next year. Please email me if you are interested in riding with me for either of these 2 events.

Warning! There's a little auto/cyclist "war" going on Boulder County. Two weeks ago, 42 riders were ticketed for impeding traffic or disobeying traffic signals. Please be sure to obey the laws when riding, especially during OUT Spokin' events. Part of our mission is positive visibility for the gay and lesbian community. So please, obey the laws, be considerate, and no littering. Thanks. FYI...As I understand it, it is not considered a full stop unless you put one foot to the ground.

TIP OF THE WEEK -- Cadence. If you are new to cycling, you may be making one of two mistakes: riding in too high a gear and thus pushing with your quads (and potentially damaging your knees) or riding in too low a gear and spinning to oblivion (too much work for two little speed). Use your gears. Shift up, shift down. Use your watch and count your cadence (for example, count every time your left knee comes up) for 20 seconds. Multiply by 3. It should be between 80-100 for touring. Too fast? Shift up (a "harder" gear) Too slow? Shift down (an "easier" gear). Don't just change your foot speed, change your gear. Then ride comfortably. Party on Wayne, Party on Garth.

Yes, you can ride with us if you only have a mountain bike. You'll want to swap out your tires (about $ 20) and get slicks. Nearly a third of the riders on the Courage Classic use mountain bikes. Although they are heavier, the low gearing is well suited to Colorado's mountain riding.

All three of us gals want to thank all of you for your gracious hospitality and social both on the road spinning the wheels and off the road having a beer. We were simply "awed" by your inclusion and truly offer a deep hearted thank-you. We'll be back again for another ride, if not this year certainly next! jane
