You are here
RED 3, that's all you need to know. We've got a sweet front spot to lead the pride parade this year. We want to show how queers and allies support cycling in our great trails and road riding state. Outspokin current and past riders, join us to celebrate "Pride" in Colorado. If you have friends that would like to join us, just show up. If you have a current or vintage Outspokin jersey wear it!
Meet before 8:30a in Cheesman Park at RED #3 and help us lead out the parade on bicycles!
If you have questions, give a shout / Jeffrey 303-884-4140.
Hey Gang,
It's a break week for Outspokin. This is a good time to rest the muscles and enjoy the weekend. Here's a sweet little cycling film some of my cycling buddies past my way. I saved it for this weekend, cause it helps remind us why we love to ride a bike! I hope you enjoy.
Love riding with you folks!
Jeffrey
There is a great youtube video that is from the TEDx MileHigh event. The presentation was given by Allen Lim, who is the Director of Sports Science and Technology for Team Radio Shack. To watch the video, click on the following link:
Hi all! I'm a newbie here and wondered if any of you are doing Ride the Rockies. This will be my 3rd year participating. It would be great to connect with some of you along the way if you're riding!
Many of you know I am Riding with Team Colorado In Aids Life Cycle 10. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles with 2500 other riders, each one making a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS. Ultimately, we ride so that someday, we won't have to.
Our minimum Donation goal Per person for this year is $3000. I am currently sitting around $1000 shy of that goal. If I don't meet the minimum I have to Self Donate to meet it. I currently do not have Budget or available Funds to do that. So I am asking for anyone and everyone to help me with this.
Please Make a donation towards my goal today. Only a few days till Ride start on June 5th.

You can even split up your donation amount over a few months if it makes it any easier. And I would still get full credit towards my goal right away.
And still short on funds for hotel, bike transport, and personal transport while in San Fran and L.A. I will gladly accept paypal, cash, check and anything not used will be donated in to my ALC fund. paypal to tigerboi83@yahoo.com
any other questions or comments fell free to contact me
Email adamcrews83@gmail.com
phone 720 320 2687
I will be able to check emails up till thursday (6/2/11) morning when my flight leaves for San Fran
Keep our website fresh and fun by sharing pictures of your riding adventures and OUT Spokin' events. It's easy to post. In the upper left corner there is a Tab named "Photos". By using this tab you can view all of our photos, or upload your own.
I'll start with viewing Photos. Click on the Tab "Photos", this will take you to the Photo Gallery. By default, all of our photos will open in the gallery; however, there will be multiple pages. You can limit the number of photos that return by using the select lists that are above the photos. For example, select Courage Classic under the Event drop down list and then click the Apply button. Note that the select list "User Tags" is created by users when other values dont' fit the bill.
Now to upload your photos. If you move your mouse over the Tab "Photo", you will see another option that says "Upload Photo", click on that option.
* Provide a title for the photo
* Use the browse button to find your photo on your computer and then click the upload button
* Under Vocabularies, use the drop down select lists to describe the photo
* If you don't see a description that works, create your own tag by putting something in "User Tags"
* It's not necessary; however, if you want to describe the picture, add comments where it asks for "Body"
* Click Save
* That's it, your photo is now in the gallery. The last two photos will show on the front page.
Thanks for helping us keep the OUT Spokin' site fresh.
0630 and only 5 of us are at the starting gate for the ride...that should have told me something! By mile 13 couldn't feel my hands...mile 26...couldn't feel my feet...and lost my eyesight due to the rain somewhere in between!! Rang out a gallon of water from each of my socks at the end of 50 miles, and sat shivering in my car for the next half hour..!! Ahhh...just another day on the bike!!
Blogs and Forums are often found on the web, but what's the difference between the two and which one should I use?
- Blogs should be used more for a place to tell your personal story or share information that you think is important, sort of a personal journal. Blogs do allow comments; however, the comments should be about the original post not necessarily a discussion thread.
- The forums should be used when you are either asking a question or wanting to start a discussion thread with other riders. This is a more appropriate back and forth format, which encourages short replies.
Want more information on how to post a Blog or start a Forum? I have created documents to help you learn how to post a Blog. You can find the "How to post a blog.doc" at http://www.outspokin.org/sites/default/files/To_post_a_blog_0.doc You can find the "How to post a blog.doc" at http://www.outspokin.org/sites/default/files/To_post_a_forum_0.doc
Hope that information helps. Check back for more information on how you can use the OUT Spokin' website to your advantage.
