Lefthand Canyon to Jamestown
This is a great ride to accustom a less experienced rider to climbing without having to go too far into the mountains.
We meet near the corner of US 36 and Lefthand Canyon Road and follow Lefthand Canyon Road up to Jamestown. There's only one "turn" on the whole ride, as we take James Canyon Drive to the hamlet itself, about 5 miles up, although it actually kind of follows the road.
The downhill is a steady descent without too much traffic.
To get to the ride start from Denver, take US 36 and continue through Boulder. The Greenbriar is on the left, 8.8 miles from the junction of US 36 (28th Avenue) and Arapahoe Street in Boulder. Park on the right side of the road after the turn. Please be sure to park as far off the road as you can.
