Advanced Drive from Denver on I-70 West to Idaho Springs. Take Mt. Evans Exit 240. Turn left and drive up Colorado Hwy 103 (14 miles) to Echo Lake. Pass Echo Lake and drive toward Lodge. Park in parking lot across from Lodge and before the fee gates. It cost $3 for bikes to ride to the summit. You can pay zero, but you can not use any of the facilities off the road (that means rest rooms or rest areas).

Denver to Idaho Springs: 40 minutes
Idaho Springs to Echo Lake: 25 minutes
