What's the difference between a Blog and a Forum post?

By pam-z - Posted on 08 May 2011

Blogs and Forums are often found on the web, but what's the difference between the two and which one should I use?

  • Blogs should be used more for a place to tell your personal story or share information that you think is important, sort of a personal journal. Blogs do allow comments; however, the comments should be about the original post not necessarily a discussion thread.
  • The forums should be used when you are either asking a question or wanting to start a discussion thread with other riders. This is a more appropriate back and forth format, which encourages short replies.

Want more information on how to post a Blog or start a Forum? I have created documents to help you learn how to post a Blog. You can find the "How to post a blog.doc" at http://www.outspokin.org/sites/default/files/To_post_a_blog_0.doc You can find the "How to post a blog.doc" at http://www.outspokin.org/sites/default/files/To_post_a_forum_0.doc

Hope that information helps. Check back for more information on how you can use the OUT Spokin' website to your advantage.
